Teeth whitening is one of the simplest cosmetic procedures if done right. Doing it right means using a proper whitening agent (that is, a good peroxide gel) and an appropriate accelerator. The most practical accelerator is a lamp using cold blue light with a wavelength of around 500 nanometers. This wavelength of light is ideal for accelerating the whitening process of different peroxides, such as hydrogen peroxide and carbamide peroxide.

The procedure is very simple. Peroxide gel is added to a mouth tray. The customer inserts the tray into the mouth, allowing the front of the teeth to contact directly with the gel. A blue cold light lamp is placed directly in front of the customer’s open mouth and run for 15-20 minutes. Results are impressive. A 15-20 minute treatment yields an improvement of between 2-7 shades. The more treatments a person does, the whiter the teeth get.

It is important to note that not all lamps and gels are created equal. Even lamps with similar wavelengths will not produce the same results. Although the wavelength is important, the power output and intensity of the light produced by the lamp are very important too. The stronger the output and intensity, the quicker the gel is activated, which means that you get more action over a certain period of time. The temperature of the light is important for the comfort of the customer – the light must be cold. Some lamps produce warm or hot light that can burn the customer’s face, and it is not as effective at activating the peroxide in the gel. • DO use water-based based mascara and make-up remover

• DO apply mascara from middle to tip, to avoid root area

5. How long does the application process take?

It takes anywhere from 45 minutes to 3 hours depending and look that is chosen. The application process is pain-free and so soothing that most clients fall asleep during the procedure. All you need to do is relax, lie back comfortably and close your eyes.

Note: In order for the bonding material to set properly, it is recommended that you do not wash your eye area or expose it to moisture for 12-24 hours after your eyelash extensions have been applied.

8. How long will my eyelash extensions last?

Eyelash Extensions are applied to your natural lash. When they are properly applied, they will remain in place through the natural growth cycle of your eyelashes... approximately 6-8 weeks. Your individual experience will be unique based on your day-to-day activities.

9. How often will I need a touch-up?

Your individual experience will be unique based on your day-to-day activities. If you swim or use a steam room or if you frequently touch your eyes, it is possible that your eyelash extensions will dislodge sooner. A 45-minute touch-up is usually recommended every 2 to 3 weeks to fill in any lashes that have fallen out.

10. Can I wear mascara on my eyelash extensions?

You don’t need mascara. Our Eyelash extensions give the illusion that you are already wearing mascara, because your lashes look so lush and thick. However, if you wish, you may further enhance your look with water-based mascara only. Oil-based and waterproof mascaras should be avoided as agents in their formulations will dissolve the bonding agent used to apply your extensions.

11. Can I use an eyelash curler on my eyelash extensions?

We recommend that you avoid mechanical eyelash curlers as they can damage the extensions and possibly your own natural lashes. Our Eyelash Extensions have a natural curl ‘built in,’ but if wish to create a more pronounced curl; we suggest you use a heated eyelash curler.
